What are your cable pinouts?

The pinouts for all our cables are illustrated below.

Will the cables I already own work with the RAD-0?

It’s possible that your existing cable(s) have the required pinout for RAD-0 compatibility. If your cable(s) have the pinout illustrated below, or if you would like to make your own universal cable, please have a look at our alternate pinouts below.

Is the travel case included?

Yes, every pair of RAD-0’s ship in a “Pelican” style carrying case. We also offer the same carrying case sold separately under accessories.

They’re handmade, does that mean they all sound different?

Not at all, they just look different. Our quality control processes are all designed to maximize consistency within our strict tolerances. We make sure that every pair of headphones get the same treatment, ultimately keeping variation to a minimum.

Do you have more pictures?

Yes, if you’d like more pictures of a specific model, feel free to reach out to us.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, for the most part. We currently ship everywhere except Russia and India. While we don’t have control of customs pricing, we try to keep shipments as affordable as possible.

Can I try a pair of your headphones before buying them?

We don’t offer sample units, but we’re pleased to offer a 30 day return policy on first party units returned in factory fresh condition, minus a 15% restocking fee to cover our costs. More return policy information can be found in our Terms and Conditions. If you’re in Southern California and would like to come by our lab for a listening demo, we’d be happy to have you. Send an email to us here to set up an appointment.

Are there balanced cables available?

Yes, we have 4-Pin XLR and 4.4mm 5 Pole cables available under accessories. We also offer custom made cables, available here.

Is there a warranty? What if I sell my headphones to someone else?

Yes, our full warranty breakdown can be found in our Terms & Conditions. To help us provide you with our best service possible, be sure to register your unit and retain your sales receipt(s) and/or proof of purchase. Our warranty is transferable as long as there is some kind of transaction log of the purchase.

Are Rad-0’s power hungry? Will my amp be good enough? How hard are they to drive?

The key to choosing the right headphone amp is not as simple as pure wattage, it’s about matching your amp choice to your specific headphone’s power requirements. Generally speaking, and depending on how loud you listen, our headphones sound wonderful from a standard smartphone or laptop listening at healthy levels. However, for an elevated experience and more loudness, a dedicated amp that is capable of delivering at least 1 watt is ideal.

What does B-Stock mean? Do B-Stock units have a different warranty and / or sound?

B-Stock units may have some minor physical imperfections, the plus side is B-Stock units sell for a reduced price. All RAD-0’s regardless of price or condition have the same transducers, undergo the same level of testing and strict quality control, and have the same warranty. Components that have major defects will never make it into a pair of headphones. While we are not able to say exactly what imperfections are on a specific B-Stock unit, the most common type of imperfection that can qualify a unit as B-Stock are small imperfections within the ring. These units might additionally have nicked leather components and/or damaged metal components. These blemishes are overall quite minor and will become rarer in the future, but we’re perfectionists. We figure, rather than throwing away almost perfectly good parts, we pass the savings on to you.
